Maple Ridge is not just a pretty place…there are always lots of fun and interesting activities going on and this weekend is no exception!
Do you have a creative side that you would like to explore? This Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, local artist Robi Smith will be hosting a Free Lantern-Making Workshop! Put your creative talents to use and make your own lantern. Finished lanterns will be installed in the park during the Rivers Day and Culture Days weekend for all to admire. Not just for the young of heart, this activity is open to all ages and requires no experience. For more information please visit Robi Smith’s website for more information.
If you’re more keen on taking advantage of the great weather we will be having this weekend, then you might be interested in participating in the Bike to Farms tour happening this Sunday on September 6th. A leisurely 15km bike ride along mostly quiet roads in Maple Ridge, get to know your local farmers and learn more about where our food comes from. There will only be two groups participating in the tour with a maximum of 25 participants in each so make sure to register sooner rather than later!
